WEST ORANGE – The West Orange United Soccer Club teams gave good efforts for the week-ending April 24.
The Fury U12 girls defeated Hackettstown, 6-1. Caitlin Bridgers, Lizzie Fleming, Ximena Macavilca, Kennedy Morgan, Tori Rideau-Winds and Olivia Telemaque had the goals. Madison Oliver and Telemaque both had assists. Delia Wasky was in goal.
The Sounders U10 boys played two games on Sunday, April 24.
The team hosted neighboring Montclair and lost, 7-4. The Sounders received all four goals from Michael Udodi.
In the second game of the day, the Sounders traveled to Clarkstown, N.Y. The Sounders played tough all game and were down 2-1 at the half with a goal by Cameron Morgan. In the second half, each team netted a goal as the Sounders lost, 3-2. The second-half goal was by Michael Udodi. The Sounders are now 1-3-0 on the season.
