MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The nor’easter that blew through New Jersey on March 2 left little snow, but a good deal of damage, with downed trees and power lines.

Pictured, Maplewood resident Joan Crystal poses with a downed tree in front of her Courter Avenue home. The township tree at the corner of Prospect Avenue toppled over at 5:30 p.m., missing everything except a sycamore tree on her property, requiring a damaged branch to be removed.

A second photo shows a tree snapped on the corners of Tuscan Street, Lexington and Brunet avenues, in Maplewood. The tree was without hardwood at its base; otherwise it may have been toppled and uprooted by the wind.
