Orange man arrested in string of motor vehicle break-ins

WEST ORANGE, NJ — A man faces charges in connection to a string of car burglaries committed over the past month, according to a recent release from West Orange Township

South Orange police arrested Gregory Brown, 36, of Orange, in connection to car burglaries in that township. He is also charged with 22 car break-ins in the Gregory section of West Orange.

Authorities also charged a Newark Man in connection to a house burglary in the same area last month. James Reed, 39, is accused of attempting to break into a Gregory Avenue home and faces charges in Maplewood and South Orange, as well.

Meanwhile, four suspects were caught after they allegedly tried to use stolen credit cards connected to some local car break-ins. Police charged Marcus Odeyemi, 19; Anquan Holmes, 19; and a 17-year-old, all of Orange, with identity fraud. Marvin Jones, 20, of West Orange was also charged.
