SHIP counselors available for Medicare enrollment help

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Medicare open enrollment is from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7 and the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, or SHIP, has counselors available to answer questions and offer guidance.

SHIP is a statewide program that provides free, objective, confidential help to New Jersey Medicare beneficiaries who have problems with or questions about Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Part D and Long-Term Care Insurance Services. Services are provided via telephone, face to face or through public education presentations.
