A lot happening at the Maplewood Senior Center

Maplewood seniors enjoy playing bingo.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — All seniors are invited to enjoy exercise, meditation, gardening, informational programs and lunch gatherings happening at the Maplewood Senior Center at 106 Burnett Ave. The center offers a robust schedule that includes multiple fitness classes, group trips, lunches and movies. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own friends and use this space to meet and mingle.

Some upcoming events are:

  • On Friday, Nov. 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., enjoy Friendsgiving, a thanksgiving celebration. Join your neighbors for a feast and a motivational lecture from Maplewood’s own Beverly Friend, a Native American lecturer. This event is free.
  • On Tuesday, Nov. 20, take a free trip to Jersey Shore Premium Outlets. Get a jump on your holiday shopping with a free ride on the town bus to Jersey Shore Premium Outlets. Seats are limited, so sign up today. The bus departs from DeHart Community Center, 120 Burnett Ave., at 9 a.m. and will return at 3 p.m.
  • On Thursday, Dec. 18, take a drip to see “Christmas in the Air” at Hunterdon Hills Playhouse. This seasonal offering features all new original songs, classic and traditional favorites, hilarious comedy sketches and spectacular dance numbers. The bus departs from DeHart Community Center, 120 Burnett Ave., at 10:15 a.m. Attendance is charged and include the show, lunch and transportation.
