Senior activities with Maplewood Rec

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The Maplewood Recreation Department will host the following programs for seniors:

• Thursday, Oct. 12, at 9 a.m.: Make an appointment by calling 973-763-0750 for the CarFit program in the Dehart Community Center parking lot, 120 Burnett Ave. in Maplewood. CarFit helps mature drivers find their safest person-to-vehicle fit, which can help people feel more comfortable and in control when driving.
• Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Seniors ages 65 and older can get a free flu shot at Town Hall, 574 Valley St.
• Tuesday, Oct. 24: The Recreation Department will head to Spring Lake, leaving at 9 a.m. and returning by 4 p.m. Register for this free trip by calling 973-763-0750.
• Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Attend a free Halloween party at 106 Burnett Ave. Register at 973-763-0750 or https://maplewood.recdesk.com/community/program.
