MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood Recreation held a Spooktacular Halloween Party at the Maplewood Senior Center on Oct. 31. Approximately fifty participants were entertained by a magician, karaoke, DJ and a costume contest with prizes.

This November, the Recreation Department will host additional events at the senior center. On Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m., the Rec Department will hold its first-ever Plant Party, at which participants will create terrariums with a festive fall theme that will be home to low-maintenance succulents. On Friday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., attend Friendsgiving, a free event with motivational speaker Scott Chesney; eat lunch with your neighbors and bring a dessert to share. On Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m., make holiday wreaths while enjoying cider and cookies.

Space is limited for these events, so sign up by calling Michelle at 973-763-0750 or visiting https://maplewood.recdesk.com/community/program.
