SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — On Tuesday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., community seniors and active older adults are invited to the Baird Community Center, 5 Mead St. in South Orange, for a day of leisure activities including art, fitness, learning and more. The event will include a continental breakfast and lunch and a variety of short sample classes and activities to pick and choose from throughout the day such as life drawing, guided painting, social media aptitude, gadget apps for tracking health, music for health, chair yoga, fitness, pickleball, international folk dance and more! This event is presented by SOMA Two Towns for All Ages, the South Orange and Maplewood departments of recreation, and the South Orange and Maplewood libraries.
‘Spring into Action’ is free for South Orange and Maplewood residents, but advance registration is required for planning purposes. To register, send an email to recreation@southorange.org requesting registration for ‘Spring Into Action’ and include your name, address, phone number and date of birth; or call the Baird at 973-378-7754, ext. 2, and request registration for ‘Spring Into Action’. The staff will request your name, address, email if available, phone number and date of birth.
There will be a free swag bag for the first 50 registrants, distributed on the day of event.
