T-shirt business hosts community event Aug. 26

IRVINGTON, NJ — Seji Lusi and his partners at the Winning or Nothing T-shirt company on Springfield Avenue are scheduled to hold their third annual Community Cookout and Back to School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 26, in Union Avenue Park.

“We will be teaching kids how to make custom T-shirts onsite,” said Lusi on Sunday, Aug. 13. “We would appreciate all members of the community coming out to enjoy good food, good music, family-oriented fun and fellowship with us on August 26.”

Last year Lusi used event as an occasion to roll out his latest designer T-shirt, which bears a likeness of the Pac Man character from the 1980s videogame eating up a group of “ghosts,” with the slogan, “We Eat Our Enemies.” This year, it will be more of the same, but bigger, with the same mission.

“It keeps people off the streets and out of trouble,” said Lusi’s friend Godson Saintpaul at last year’s event. “This is family and the community is part of our family too.”
