WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange Police Sgt. Brad Squires, Senior Services coordinator Laura Van Dyke, senior public health nurse Susan Iovino and West Orange Police Officer Bret Wagner were all on hand to talk about safety issues for senior citizens at a Senior Safety Summit held at the Renna House on Sept. 25.
The two hour session also featured West Orange Deputy Fire Chief Steven Hywel, who gave a presentation about fire safety issues for seniors. Assistant Senior Services coordinator Noelia Perez handed out various free safety-related pamphlets and booklets. The event was attended by approximately 50 seniors and light refreshments were served.
