Dr. Hugh D. Kittle, Jr., 90, passed away on Thursday February 18, 2016 in Charlotte, NC after a short illness.
Born in Nanticoke, PA, he graduated from Columbia University and NYU Dental School. He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Hugh resided in Glen Ridge, NJ and operated a dental practice in Bloomfield, NJ for over 30 years. He was a member at GRCC and the Montclair Dramatic Club and various other clubs and organizations. After retiring, he and his wife, Ila, toured the country via RV then relocated to Seneca, SC where he was a member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church and was the drummer for the Dixie Keys Jazz Band.
Hugh is survived by Ila, his loving wife of 69 years, and a sister, Lois Bladen, a brother, Henry Kittle, and three daughters, Ivy Richmond and her husband Michael, Bonnie Kittle and her partner Brian Karger and Nancy Barry and her husband Joseph; his loving grandchildren, Jessica Bronzert, Colin O’Grady; Nick and Stasi Richmond; Andrew and Jason Buijs; and Daniel, Emma and Cody Barry, and 7 great grandchildren.
A family memorial service will be planned at a future date.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I have many fond memories of the years I worked in his practice in Bloomfield. Over the years I have run into his former patients and they all have good memories of him.
