EAST ORANGE, NJ – The East Orange Campus High School boys’ varsity volleyball team is enjoying a stellar season so far.
The Jaguars, under head coach Eric Ansah, boasted a 10-2 record through May 4, including an undefeated mark in the Super Essex Conference-Liberty Division.
EOCHS bounced back from its first loss of the season with wins over Shabazz and Montclair.
Kesean Blair had 12 digs; Ricardo Pierrevil and Jerome Richards each had five kills and Claudel Fontus had 19 assists in the 25-13, 25-14 home win over Shabazz on April 25. Uriel Ngah also had four kills.
Pierrevil had 12 kills; Blair had 12 digs; and Fontus collected 21 assists in the 25-16, 25-20 win over Montclair on April 27. Desire Gonza had four blocks; Richards had five kills and Edwin Duodu had four kills.
EOCHS lost to Livingston, 26-24, 25-14, Monday, May 1, at home.
EOCHS defeated Barringer, 25-13, 25-9, May 3, at home. Pierrevil had eight kills; Blair had 12 digs; Uriel Ngah and Richards each had six kills; Edwin Duodu and Gonza each had five kills and Fontus posted 27 assists.
Pierrevil had 14 kills to lead the Jaguars to a 25-15, 25-15 win over Golda Och on May 4. Blair had nine digs; Ngah had five kills and Richards and Gonza each had three kills. Fontus had 26 assists.
The Jaguars started the season at 6-0 before losing to Bloomfield, 25-16, 25-20, April 24, in Bloomfield.
