In October, the Board of Education approved a resolution to revive IHS Athletic Hall of Fame. It is believed to be the first induction since 1991.
IHS Athletic Director Dr. John Taylor, who took over the position last summer, proposed the idea of reviving the Athletic Hall of Fame. Taylor assembled a committee that selected the induction class through a vote. Taylor served as the committee chairperson, but did not have any voting power.
The date and location of the induction ceremony will be determined later.
Glad to see this makes me feel good.
Will we see any of the 1984-1985 classes soon.
Many of those classes are already enshrined. They were in the Hall of fame prior to 1991. See athletics website at http://www.irvingtonblueknights.com
