Columbia HS boys’ basketball team routs Shabazz in opener

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – Nashiem Harte scored 21 points with six 3-pointers to lead the Columbia High School boys’ basketball team to an 80-40 win over Shabazz on Dec. 16 in Newark in the season opener.

Breizh Askew had 13 points; Russell Ayala had nine points and 10 assists and Zayon Marsh had 10 rebounds for the Cougars, who will take part in the Union City Holiday Tournament, Dec. 27, against Orange, at 1:30 p.m. The second day of the tourney is Dec. 29.
