Glen Ridge and Columbia high school teams christen new playing surface on Glenfield Park softball field
Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. (center in back) announced on Wednesday, April 27th that the installation of a new synthetic grass playing surface on the Essex County Glenfield Park softball field has been completed. Joining the County Executive are members of the Glen Ridge High School Girls’ Softball Team along with Essex County Deputy Chief William Payne, Glen Ridge Councilwoman Rebecca Meyer, Commissioner Vice President Carlos Pomares, Commissioners Tyshammie Cooper and Brendan Gill, Chief of Staff Phil Alagia, Montclair Councilor Bob Russo and Glen Ridge Councilwoman Ann Marie Morrow. The new surface provides young ballplayers with up-to-date conditions on which to play and maximizes usage of the field.
