WEST ORANGE, NJ — Several residents came out to the Sept. 20 West Orange Township Council meeting to question the council members and express their disappointment that, at the Sept. 6 meeting, the council had voted 4-1 — with Councilman Joe Krakoviak being the sole yea vote — to reject a resolution proposing that the township form senior citizen advisory board.

Displeasure is putting it mildly… the turn-out was phenominal. We will continue to pack council meetings, voice our “displeasure” on social media, work with other community groups and vote against candidates who do not side with seniors. It is time 29% of the township has a voice on matters of importance to seniors in West Orange. We will not be silenced any longer. We want a Senior Citizen Advisory Board!
