Fourth of July ice cream eating contest
An ice cream eating contest was held inside the DeHart Community Center. There were numerous categories for the kids ranging in age up to 18. The adult contest was won by Bill Timlin.

The Health Department shared by the two towns receives reports from local hospitals treating animal bite injuries and/or from the local police department. There were 36 reports of dog bites in 2023.
