EAST ORANGE, NJ – The East Orange Campus High School varsity football team, pictured in white jerseys, hosted a quad scrimmage on August 23 at Paul Robeson Stadium. The other participating teams were Perth Amboy, Dickinson of Jersey City, and Paterson Eastside. At the end of the scrimmage, in a touching gesture, the EOCHS Jaguars allowed a special needs player from Perth Amboy score on a 30-yard run from scrimmage. At the end of the run, players on both teams surrounded him in the end zone as they all celebrated with joyous cheers. The Jaguars kick off the regular season Sept. 8 against Memorial of West New York at home at 7 p.m.
