NEWARK – On Monday, June 6, Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. will pay tribute to the legacies of Yogi Berra, Larry Doby and Monte Irvin by dedicating three bronze plaques in honor of the Baseball Hall of Famers at the Essex County Government Complex. The plaques are located along Legends Way, the promenade on the south side of the Essex County Hall of Records, where rows of plaques commemorate people whose contributions shaped and influenced Essex County.
The ceremony will take place at noon.
Scheduled to join the County Executive are members of the Berra, Doby and Irvin families and elected officials.
