GLEN RIDGE – Meghan Marhan had 10 points and nine rebounds and Juliann Lisovicz had eight points and 11 rebounds to lead the Glen Ridge High School girls’ varsity basketball team to a 38-31 home win over Boonton on Monday, Dec. 21.
It was the Ridgers’ first win of the season as they improved to 1-1.
Claire McMahon had seven points and 10 rebounds; Julia Lawson had five points and five rebounds; Gabby Kinzler had four points and five rebounds; Leslie Jaiyesimi added four points and 12 rebounds and Lindsay Jaiyesimi had three assists for the Ridgers.
In the season opener, the Ridgers lost to Newark Arts, 47-27, Friday, Dec. 18, at GRHS. McMahon scored eight points; Kinzler recorded six points; Marhan contributed four points and Leslie Jaiyesimi added three points.
