NUTLEY – The Nutley High School girls’ varsity basketball team began its season in emphatic fashion.
University of Maryland-bound senior guard Blair Watson scored 21 points, including three 3-pointers, and freshman Alaina Feaster added 14 points as the Lady Raiders crushed Weequahic, 73-13, in the season opener on Friday, Dec. 18, at Weequahic in Newark.
The Raiders last season won the state North Jersey Section 2, Group 3 championship led by Watson.
