ORANGE – Jean Julien, a senior, won the 100-meter dash in 10.99 to lead the Orange High School boys’ track and field team at the Essex County Championships held at Woodman Field in Montclair, May 20-21.
On the girls’ side, Onunene Albert, a senior, took second in the 100-meter dash in 12.49 and the 4×400-meter relay team took fourth in 4:07.77 to lead OHS.
Based on those top-six finishes, the OHS girls’ team finished 11th and the OHS boys’ team took 13th in their respective team standings. Columbia won the girls’ team title for the fourth straight year and ninth in the past 10 years and East Orange Campus won the boys’ team title for the second straight year.
