ORANGE, NJ — The Orange Municipal Democratic Committee will host its annual Coat Drive from noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Sandwiches Unlimited restaurant, 23 North Center St., Orange.
“To whom much is given much is expected,” Orange Municipal Democratic Committee Chairwoman Shelley Alexander said Tuesday, Nov. 10. “This is the season for giving. And we’re glad that we’re able to do this again for the entire Orange community.”
Alexander and Executive Director Anthony Salters said the Orange Municipal Democratic Committee is still taking donations for the giveaway, and that “new and slightly worn coats of all sizes will be accepted from the general public.”
“Last year, 372 coats were donated and distributed to children and adults in Orange,” Alexander said.
