IRVINGTON, NJ – The Irvington Golden Knights Pop Warner football program is definitely headed in the right direction. The program experienced stellar performances and epic wins this past weekend, Sept. 23-24.

GK’S Flag (ages 5-6) started off the weekend off on Saturday, Sept. 23, with an excellent showing versus the Central Ward Titans. The Tiny Mites (ages 6-7), a.k.a. “The Money Team,” prevailed against Hamilton Revolution, 14-0. “The Money Team” is 4-0 on the season and has yet to yield a single point.

Sunday followed with the Mighty Mites (ages 8-9) defeating the previously-unbeaten Central Ward Titans in the game of the day, 15-14. The Mighty Mites are now 4-0 for the season. The Jr. Varsity  (ages 12-13) concluded the day with their second consecutive blowout victory as they coasted to a 28-6 win.

The Irvington Golden Knights will have home games this Sunday, Oct. 1, at Irvington High School: Mighty Mites at 9 a.m.; Pee Wee at 10:30 a.m.; Jr. Varsity at noon; and Jr. Pee Wee at 1:30 p.m. Flag and Tiny Mites will play away games. Come out and support!
