IRVINGTON, NJ – The Irvington High School varsity boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will begin their seasons this weekend.
The boys’ team, under head coach Elias Brantley, will visit Memorial of West New York in the season opener on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 2:30 p.m. The Blue Knights’ home opener is Dec. 20 against Bloomfield Tech at 4 p.m.
The Blue Knights hope to improve on last year’s 9-16 record.
The girls’ team, under head coach Rashawnah French, will host Barringer on Friday, Dec. 16, in the season opener at 4 p.m. Last season, the girls’ team finished with an impressive 16-10 record.
