NUTLEY – Helyna Bissell, of Nutley, led Lodi Immaculate Conception to its first win of the Bergen County softball tournament over Bergen Tech on Saturday, May 7. Bissell went 2-for-3 with a double, a two-run single, walk and a run scored in the 9-1 win.
Bissell’s season stats move to .542 batting average and .645 OBP. Bissell and the Blue Wolves will next face the winner of Northern Highlands vs. Emerson.
Bissell, a senior, will continue her softball career at Morehead State University (Ky.) on an athletic scholarship.
