MAPLEWOOD – The Columbia High School varsity football team, under second-year head coach John Power, finished a good season.
The seventh-seeded Cougars lost at second-seeded Westfield, 49-14, in the first round of the state North Jersey Section 2, Group 5 playoffs on Saturday, Nov. 14.
The Cougars finished with a respectable 5-5 record; their first non-losing season since 2010, which was the last time they qualified for the postseason
