WEST ORANGE, NJ – The fourth-seeded West Orange High School boys’ varsity soccer team lost to top-seeded Montclair in a 1-0 heartbreaking double-overtime decision in the Essex County Tournament semifinals at Livingston HS on Oct. 25.
The sixth-seeded Mountaineers then lost to No. 11 seed North Bergen, 2-1, in the first round of the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 state tournament on Oct. 29 at home. Kalleo Mendes scored for WOHS, which moved to an 11-5-2 record.
