The West Orange Fire Department had an open house on Sunday, Oct. 5, at its Valley Road headquarters. Firefighters provided safety tips and demonstrated some emergency medical service life saving techniques. Children got to use a fire extinguisher to put out a stimulated stove fire and a chance to use a real fire hose on a replica of an exterior house wall.
