MILLBURN, NJ — Registration for the fall semester is now under way for the Priddy Learning Academy in Millburn, according to a release. Priddy, now in its 20th year, is a leading provider of supplemental learning in mathematics and reading comprehension for students in grades K through 12. Priddy also offers test prep for the PSAT, ACT, SAT I & II, AP Math AB/BC, AP Statistics, ISEE, SSAT, Writing and Mandarin Chinese. Individualized programs are offered in group or private one-to-one settings.
Using PLA’s self-paced, mastery-based learning system, students advance based on their mastery of sequential concepts in math and reading, which, according to founder and Director Michael Priddy, “enables the student to have the personal reward of mastering a concept before proceeding to the next step.”
Math programs offered include Mastery Arithmetic for children in primary grades, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Physics, and Math for the PSAT, SAT I & II and ACT.
Reading Comprehension programs offered include Beginning Reading, including phonics; Elementary Reading; Advanced Reading Comprehension; SAT; and ACT.
Priddy also offers Mandarin Chinese classes for students just beginning to those advanced. There are also adult weekday morning classes.
