GLEN RIDGE, NJ – The 13th-seeded Glen Ridge High School boys’ varsity soccer team had a good run in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 state tournament.
Luca Burke and Matt Whitney each had a goal, while Arran Robertson and Gavin Robertson each had an assist in the 2-1 upset win over fourth-seeded Becton in the first round Oct. 31. Logan Kotronis made six saves.
GRHS then lost at fifth-seeded Dayton, 2-0, in the quarterfinal round Nov. 3 in Springfield to finish the season with an 8-10-1 record.
