WEST ORANGE, NJ – The West Orange High School boys varsity basketball team received the No. 10 seed in the Essex County Tournament and will host No. 26 seed Nutley in the preliminary third round on or by Feb. 7. The winner will visit No. 7 seed Irvington in the first round (round of 16) Feb. 9. West Orange received byes in the preliminary first and second rounds.
WOHS lost to Montclair, 58-47, Feb. 2 in a Super Essex Conference crossover game. Goddy Marc had 19 points with five 3-pointers and his brother, Godly Marc, had eight points for WOHS, which moved to a 6-9 record. Renard Barnes Jr.had seven points and William Garth-Hill had four points..
