Michigan point guard Elliot Cadeau
WEST ORANGE, NJ — Elliot Cadeau is going to the Final Four.
The West Orange native helped the No. 1 seed University of Michigan men’s basketball team to wins over No. 4 seed Alabama and No. 6 seed Tennessee in the Midwest Regional in Chicago to advance to the NCAA Division 1 Final Four in Indianapolis, Ind.
Cadeau, a junior point guard, had 17 points and a game-tying seven assists in the 90-77 win over Alabama in the Sweet 16 on March 27. He had eight points and a game-high 10 assists, as the Wolverines crushed Tennessee 95-62 in the Elite Eight on March 29.
Michigan (35-3 record) will face Arizona at approximately 8:49 p.m. on TBS, preceded by UConn against Illinois at 6:09 p.m., in the Final Four on Saturday, April 4. The national championship game is Monday, April 6, at 8:30 p.m. on TBS.
Cadeau attended Bergen Catholic in Oradell in the first two years of high school, before attending Link Academy in Missouri in his junior year, becoming a MaxPreps All-American in 2023. He also plays for the Swedish national team.
