NEWARK, NJ — Newark police arrested William E. Reese, 18, of Newark, on Monday, Aug. 29, in connection with two shootings at 22 Fabyan Place in Newark on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
On Tuesday, Aug. 23, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Newark police responded to a shots-fired call at the location, where they encountered a 17-year-old male victim, who had been shot. The victim was transported by EMS to University Hospital for treatment.
Officers were also notified that a second 17-year-old male victim had arrived at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center with a gunshot wound.
After an intense investigation, detectives developed evidence that Reese is a suspect in this double shooting. Bail for Reese has been set at $100,000.
