GLEN RIDGE, NJ — The Glen Ridge High School girls basketball team featured five players who earned All-Super Essex Conference–American Division honors, voted by the divisional coaches.
Junior forward Caitlin Hood made the First Team.
Senior forwards Allyson Snyder and Anabel Koss-DeFrank made the Second Team.
Senior guard Leila Arda and junior guard Lauren Cifelli made Honorable Mention.
Hood, a forward, averaged 11.4 points and 8.7 rebounds a game in 29 games played.
Snyder and Koss-DeFrank both will continue their basketball careers in college.
Snyder, who averaged 7.7 points, 8 rebounds and 4.9 blocks a game in 29 games played, will attend the University of Rochester (N.Y.). She finished her four-year varsity career with 769 points, 705 rebounds and 430 points.
Koss DeFrank, who will attend Franklin & Marshall (Pa.), averaged 9.5 points and 6 rebounds a game this season. She finished her three-year varsity career with 572 points and 460 rebounds.
The Ridgers, under first-year head coach Grace Cannon, finished with a 16-13 record, including 5-5 in the SEC–American, which is the top division in the conference.
