MONTCLAIR, NJ — Maplewood resident Annie Turvey is enjoying a fine season as the senior captain for the Montclair Kimberley Academy softball team, leading the Cougars in home runs with three among her eight extra base hits, 19 runs scored, 23 RBI and .513 batting average for the youthful 4-11 squad.
“Annie has provided great leadership for our very young team, which has only two seniors,” veteran coach Jess Sarfati said. “She is also a tremendous hitter and run producer for us.”
Turvey has played both first base and catcher for MKA.
