Memorial Park in Maplewood hosted a Juneteenth celebration on Friday, June 19. The event included, pictured upper left, MeriKara, a jazz fusion vocalist whose work is deeply rooted in Afro-diasporic musical traditions, and renowned tap artist Maurice Chestnut, upper right. DJ Fauzi was the penultimate act before a fireworks display brought the evening to a close.
