MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Columbia High School’s drama club, The Parnassian Society, found its muse last weekend with sold-out performances of “Shakespeare in Love” and has added two additional performances at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, in the CHS Black Box Theatre.
CHS is participating with Disney Theatrical Productions to pilot the production for the high school stage. The romantic comedy closely follows the 1998 Oscar-winning film, with romance, mistaken identities, ruthless scheming and backstage theatrics all part of the fun.
