Summer Concert Series returns to Livingston

LIVINGSTON, NJ — For the eighth consecutive year, Regal Bank will sponsor the Livingston Summer Concert Series, featuring live musical performances every Sunday evening in July. All concerts take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Gazebo at Memorial Field. Should there be inclement weather, shows will be held in the Livingston High School Auditorium.

Blankets, beach chairs, picnic food and lawn games create a festive backdrop to the music of top regional tribute and cover bands. Returning this year to entertain crowds with its blend of classic hits and modern popular music is area favorite The Infernos. Also returning is the B-Street Band with its tribute to the hits of Bruce Springsteen. New to the event this year are the doo-wop group Park Avenue, as well as cover band AM Gold, which plays music by Hall & Oates and Steely Dan.

Concerts are as follows:

  • Sunday, July 10: The Infernos perform music of the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s and today;
  • Sunday, July 17: Park Avenue performs classic doo-wop;
  • Sunday, July 24: AM Gold performs Hall & Oates and Steely Dan hits; and
  • Sunday, July 31: The B-Street Band performs a tribute to Bruce Springsteen.

Continuing the tradition of capturing the fun, Regal Bank is bringing back its Summer Concert Series Photo Contest. During the shows, concertgoers can post their event photos on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #RegalBankConcert. Winners will be selected based on creativity, originality, aesthetics, engagement and theme. Weekly winners will be announced at the end of each performance and will receive a $50 gift card. At the end of the series, one grand-prize winner will receive a $100 gift card. Complete contest details and official rules can be found on the Regal Bank Facebook page.

“The Livingston Summer Concert Series has become a family favorite and even a summer tradition. The free shows give people of all ages the chance to get out and enjoy good music and a great time,” Monte Ehrenkranz, Regal Bank’s vice president of business development, said in a press release. “At Regal Bank, we’re all about the community and we get really excited to bring everyone together for this fun event.”

“Once again, we owe a big thank you to Regal Bank for sponsoring the Summer Concert Series, and for everything else they do for our community,” Livingston special events supervisor Liliana Branquinho said in the release. “Their continued dedication truly helps us bring Livingston together year after year.”

The Livingston Summer Concert Series is organized by the township of Livingston. For more information, contact 973-535-7925, ext. 260, or lbranquinho@livingstonnj.org.
