WEST ORANGE — An investigation is underway into the cause of a fatal fire on Clarken Avenue.
Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and West Orange Fire Chief Anthony Vecchio announced last week that an investigation was underway into the fire that killed a man on Wednesday, March 25.
The fire at 108 Clarken Avenue was called into the West Orange Fire Department at approximately 1 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered Sean S. Tracy, 55, in bed in the master bedroom. He was transported to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center,
where he was pronounced deceased at 2:04 p.m.
This remains an active and open investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
