BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bunting hanging last week at Bloomfield Fire Department Headquarter due to the off-duty death of Firefighter Lou DeFalco. A township resident, DeFalco was a Bloomfield firefighter for 24 years. Chief Joseph McCarthy remembered him as very bright, and with a sharp wit. ‘He enjoyed off-the-wall banter with the guys and was a big music lover,’ McCarthy said.
