Fun with Music activities return for younger children

NUTLEY, NJ — The “Fun with Music” program will resume for a spring session. It is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 19, and continue for eight weeks. Classes will be held at the Recreation Department located at 44 Park Ave.
Residents may choose from a Tuesday class from 9:15 to 10 a.m. or a Thursday class from 1 to 1:45 p.m.

This class has had a tremendous response from the community. Children ages 18 months to 3 years are exposed to the positive influence of music and movement through this energetic class. Mary Wilde leads the children in segments of singing, dancing, short stories, parachute play and simple instrument introduction. Parents get to interact with their children in an environment other than their home, which provides a wide range of benefits for the children.

This character-building class helps prepare these youngsters for the next level, whether that is pre-school or other organized sports.

Pre-registration is required for this program. Class space is limited and will be honored on a first-come basis. Online registration is now available at https://register.communitypass.net/nutley. If you would like further information on this or any other recreation program, contact the Nutley Parks and Recreation Department at 973-284-4966, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
