MAPLEWOOD, NJ — SOMA Two Towns for All Ages will be hosting a communitywide volunteer fair on Sunday, March 25, from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Woodland, 60 Woodland Road in Maplewood. Recognizing that volunteerism is an important part of the community, both in terms of giving and receiving, this volunteer fair will connect community organizations and potential volunteers.
Many residents are looking to for ways to get involved and give back, especially people new to the area, those with young families and recent retirees. There are dozens of local community organizations offering social services, arts, educational opportunities, advocacy and events.
Community-based organizations are invited to have a table at the volunteer fair to share information and talk to potential volunteers face-to-face.
