WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange High School Cheerleading Team is holding its second Mountaineer Cheerleading Competition on Saturday, Jan. 9, beginning at 9 a.m. in the West Orange High School Tarnoff Gymnasium, 51 Conforti Ave.
The event will feature local recreation, high school and all-star teams performing in various divisions. Professional judges will score the routines and name division winners in each category. The WOHS cheerleaders and the Rutgers University cheerleading team will perform in exhibition.
Admission is charged, with proceeds benefiting the WOHS cheerleading team and its trip to the UCA Nationals at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney World, Feb. 6 and 7.
