WEST ORANGE – The West Orange High girls’ varsity basketball team lost to both Delaware Valley and Bayonne in the Cranford Cougar Holiday Tournament to move to a 2-2 record.
Sidney Gordon had 16 points; Jewell Burnett had five points and Mya Bembry had five points in the 51-35 loss to Delaware Valley on Dec. 28. Dawn Flood, Amoyah Gilliam and Kalyx Lewis each had two points.
WOHS fell to Bayonne, 58-35, Dec. 29.
In earlier action,Gordon scored 14 points, including four 3-pointers, and added six rebounds and six steals in the 51-31 home win over Columbia on Dec. 22.
Burnett had 12 points and Candis Ferrell had five points and eight rebounds for WOHS.
