WEST ORANGE – The West Orange High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams enjoyed strong showings at the Comet Relays in Hackensack on April 9.
The boys’ team finished second overall in the team standings, 10 points behind Ridgewood, in the Large Schools division. On the girls’ side, WOHS finished fifth overall in the Large Schools division.
The meet included a total of 21 schools.
The 4×200-meter relay team (1:33.70) and 4×400-meter relay (3:34.40) each finished second to lead the WOHS boys. The 4×100 relay took fifth in 45.74.
For the WOHS girls’ team, the 4×400 relay finished first in 4:12.10 and the 4×100 took third in 1:12.64.
