NUTLEY, NJ — The annual Santa Ride, sponsored by the Nutley Civic Celebration Inc. and the High Street Fire House, will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Santa will be escorted on his rounds through the town by members of the High Street Fire House.
The schedule and route of the procession will be:
• 9:30 a.m. – Joerg Avenue and High Street;
• 9:40 a.m. – Mapes and Norman streets;
• 9:50 a.m. – Kingsland Street and Edison Avenue;
• 9:55 a.m. – Spring Garden School;
• 10:05 a.m. – Raymond Avenue and Ridge Road;
• 10:20 a.m. – Radcliffe School;
• 10:30 a.m. – Mt. Vernon Street and Bloomfield Avenue;
• 10:40 a.m. – Harrison Street and Van Winkle Avenue;
• 10:50 a.m. – Lincoln School;
• 11 a.m. – Rest stop;
• 11:30 a.m. – Ravine Avenue and Harrison Street;
• 11:40 a.m. – Prospect Street and Vreeland Avenue;
• 11:50 a.m. – Edgar Avenue and Cherry Place;
• Noon – Terrace Avenue and Glendale Street;
• 12:10 p.m. – Lakeside Drive and Wharton Avenue;
• 12:20 p.m. – Yantacaw School;
• 12:30 p.m. – Grant and Whitford avenues;
• 12:40 p.m. – Yale Street and Hancox Avenue;
• 12:50 p.m. – Walnut Street and Park Avenue;
• 1 p.m. Villa Place and Grant Avenue;
• 1:10 p.m. – Nutley Avenue and Walnut Street;
• 1:20 p.m. – Highfield Lane and Washington Avenue;
• 1:30 p.m. – North Road and Rutgers Place;
• 1:40 p.m. – Walnut Street and Howe Avenue; and
• 1:50 p.m. – Cambridge Heights.
In the event of rain, Santa will visit the following locations:
• 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. – High Street Fire House;
• 10:30 to 11:20 a.m. – Chestnut Street Firehouse;
• Rest stop; and
• 12:10 p.m. to 1 p.m. – Park Avenue Firehouse.
