The Verona/Glen Ridge high school varsity ice hockey team will open the season Sunday, Nov. 26, against Scotch Plains-Fanwood at the Union Sports Arena at 7:50 p.m. in Union.
The Hillbillies/Ridgers are coming off an 8-16-1 season. This season, they have moved down from the McInnis Division to the Kelly Division. The other teams in the Kelly Division are Johnson, Bayonne, Cranford, Millburn, Nutley/Columbia, Scotch Plains-Fanwood, and West Essex/Caldwell. Bayonne moved up to the Kelly Division from the McMullen Division.
