Glen Ridge HS boys’ basketball team tops Montclair Kimberley Academy to move to 6-2

GLEN RIDGE, NJ – Senior guard and co-captain Tyler Liddy had 23 points, 11 rebounds and five assists and senior Avery Hackett scored 16 points to lead the Glen Ridge High School boys’ varsity basketball team to a 60-51 home win over Montclair Kimberley Academy on Friday, Jan. 5.

Liam Gunnarsson had nine points and three rebounds and fellow junior Simon Low had six points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Ridgers, who improved their record to 6-2.

Senior co-captain George Kinzler had four points and four rebounds, while David Weissenberger had two points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

In their previous game, the Ridgers fell to Christ the King Prep, 63-61, Jan. 3 at home. Liddy scored 23 points with three three-pointers and Gunnarsson had 15 points. Low had 10 points, Hackett had seven points and Kinzler had four points.
