WEST ORANGE – The Seton Hall Prep varsity baseball team received the No. 2 seed in the state North Jersey Non-Public A tourament.
The Pirates will host a quarterfinal-round game against the winner between 10th-seeded Oratory and seventh-seeded Paramus Catholic on May 31.
The top seed is Delbarton.
The semifinals are June 3 and the final is June 6.
The top-seeded Pirates will vie for their fourth straight Greater Newark Tournament championship in teh 84th GNT final against third-seeded Nutley on Saturday, May 21, at Verona High School’s Doc Goeltz Field on noon.
The Pirates lost at Nutley, 5-4, in nine innings on May 18 in a Super Essex Conference-American Division game to move to a 21-3 record.
